So Who Are You Guys?
New to Greenville Nazarene? You’ve landed on a good page! Here are a few things we think you’d like to know.
Greenville Nazarene has been ministering to the Greenville community for over fifty years, but that doesn’t mean we’re stuffy, out-dated or completely out of touch with your world! This is a dynamic, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural community intent on one thing: living out the truths of the Bible and the life-changing love of our savior, Jesus Christ, in such a way that points you to the same experience.
The easiest way to experience our community is to join us on Sunday morning at 9:30 for our Worship Celebration in English. These services are approximately 80 minutes in length and include lively heart-felt music, a biblically-centered message and, very often, a chance for you to respond. If Spanish is your heart language then you’re in for a real treat! Our Spanish language service begins at 11:00 in the same facility under the leadership of Pastor Javez Munoz. This is a vibrant, growing congregation eager to welcome you!
What About My Children?
Our Nursery and Children’s Ministry area is located just behind the Main Worship Center (Sanctuary). Don’t worry if you don’t know where any of that is. There are Greeters located at the Main Entrances who are eager to help you. These areas are designated “Safe Zones” and are staffed by fully qualified, vetted and approved child-care workers. Honestly. Children are our most precious resource and we care deeply about them and their safety.
Children ages 3 and 4 years have a special worship service just for them. Children K-5 through 4th Grade generally join us for the first part of worship and are then dismissed to their own age-appropriate worship and teaching time. In this way they get to experience “big church” and the special things that occur in those services, but also engage in tailor-made music and teaching. We think it’s the best of both worlds.
You might be wondering if you’ll be required to place your children in our care. The answer is absolutely not. We understand it may take a while for you to be comfortable leaving them with us, or there may be special circumstances that prevent you from doing so. If your child gets a bit restless, we brodacast the service on closed-circuit TV in the foyer area just behind the Main Worship Center.
